INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING COLD STORAGE EFFECTIVELY

Cold storage is known for its main function of protecting goods and food such as vegetables, fresh food, medicines, cosmetics, etc. However, if not used properly, the goods in the warehouse will not be well preserved and consumes electricity. Besides, cold storage will also reduce lifespan and even damage.

Instructions for using cold storage

Cold storage must always be disinfected

Goods in the warehouse must always ensure absolute safety and hygiene. Therefore, cold storage must be a completely sterile environment. Regular cleaning and disinfection of cold storage is essential to prevent bacteria from entering and affecting goods.

Ensure the stable temperature

The important thing to know when using cold storage is the temperature of the storage. The temperature in the warehouse is always kept at a stable level to avoid heat loss or sudden temperature changes.

When opening the cargo door, a large amount of heat is also released. Therefore, when circulating through, they must be closed immediately in order to ensure the quality of goods.

If the indoor temperature is not stable, the goods and products will not be in the best state of preservation.

Curtains and insulation panels should be used

We can install a standard insulation board when installing cold storage to prevent hot air from entering the cold storage and affecting the goods. It must be installed tightly, absolutely no gaps appear during installation.

If the cold storage loses heat, the refrigeration system must operate at a higher capacity than usual to bring the temperature back to a stable level. As a result, the system is overloaded and easily damaged, and electricity is also consumed so much. Therefore, using specialized insulation curtains helps to reduce heat loss to the outside.

Properly arrange goods in the warehouse

Each product has a different storage temperature. Food should be placed in a suitable position in the cold storage to increase the shelf life and avoid product quality damage.

For example, goods that need to be stored at lower temperatures should be placed near the cold ventilation and foods that require higher temperatures should be placed closer to the warehouse door.

In addition, cold storage must store a very large amount of goods, so the goods in the warehouse must be reasonably arranged to ensure the circulation of cold air in the warehouse.

The goods should not be packed too tightly or let the goods obstruct the flow of cold air, because this way the cold air does not spread evenly as well as can not contact the food, leading to quality damage. In particular, it also reduces the longevity of the cooling system and causes power consumption.
